Dallas was listed in the 1899-1900 school census records of Kittitas County, Washington as a six-year old living in this father John Kinkade's household. His son-in-law, Woody Hayes, recalled that Dallas farmed and drove taxi for Mr. Ford for many years.
Front page of Ellensburg Daily Record, Monday, Dec. 24, 1951: Dallas Kinkade Taken by Death. Dallas Kinkade, 58, widely-known Ellensburg resident, died at the Valley General hospital about 10:30 o'clock this morning, eight hours after suffering a stroke.
A Kittitas valley native son, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kinkade, Broadview district pioneers. He farmed for many years in the Broadview district and for the past several years had been employed as a driver for the Ford Taxi.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel A. Kinkade; a son, Howard Kinkade of Ellensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Lorine Hayes of Ellensburg, and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
