Mrs. Henrietta Francis Allen age 72 years, died at her home Thursday morning, March 3. She had been sick for quite a while and her death was not unexpected. Mrs. Allen had lived here for many years and had many friends here. She was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by two sons, Frank and Sam Allen, home, three step-sons, James Allen, of Keystone W. Va., Robert Allen of Kansas, and William Allen of Michigan, one sister, Mrs. Cynthia Roope of Dublin, one brother, Chester King, of Newbern. Funeral services were held at her home on Friday afternoon at two o'clock and burial was made in the Newbern cemetery.
