Barbara King Baugh
Barbara King Baugh of Decatur died on Oct. 30, 2008. She was the daughter of H.C. Miller King and Katherine Richardson King of New Orleans, La. Members of the King family were early settlers of Montevallo, Ala., and New Orleans, La.
She is survived by her son, Robert Richardson Baugh and wife, Pam, her daughter, Cynthia Baugh Olsson and husband, Stefan, all of Birmingham, a brother, Rivers Richardson King and wife, Jane, of New Orleans, La.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Katherine Grayson Baugh, Robert Richardson Baugh Jr., Julia Ann Olsson and Lars Christopher Olsson. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Baugh of Decatur.
Mrs. Baugh was educated in Covington, La., and at Southwestern University in Lafayette, La. Her sister was the late Katherine Stephens Fraser. Mrs. Baugh was a retired Realtor and a sustaining member of the Junior League. She held many positions at St. John's Episcopal Church through the years.
Barbara had a loving, optimistic and brave spirit. She was an inspiration to others and was devoted to her family and church. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at 3 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church. There will be a visitation at 2 p.m. in the church library.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or to the Episcopal Center.
Roselawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
