Doris was born on June 29th, 1918 in Newark, New Jersey. She lived in San Diego for 75 years after moving from the east coast as a young girl of 22. She worked at Convair during World War II, where, she met her future husband John. They wed on MAY 9TH, 1942. She left Convair to become a home maker raising 2 sons. Doris played and taught the piano and received many diplomas and certificates from the American School of Music. She also was a pianist and organist at the Southern Baptist church in San Diego for many years.
Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, her parents Leonard Senior and Minnie King, and brother Leonard King Jr.
Doris leaves behind her younger brother, 2 sons, three granddaughters, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
