Janice Wilma Commons, born July 18, 1917 to James and Bessie King passed from this life on July 29, 2012 in Carrollton, Texas. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and her husband Carroll Barton Commons. She was born in Galata, Montanta and moved to a farm outside of Cowgill, Missouri a few years later. She came to Dallas with most of her family in 1936 during the Texas Centenial. She worked at Vannette Hosiery Mills for many years until she married Carroll in 1951 and assisted him with his wholesale egg business until his death in 1985. She was a member of Valley View Christian Church for 44 years. She is survived by her sisters, Billie Wilson and Margie Barnes, son David Alan Commons and his wife Suzanne, daughter Diane Krysl, grandsons Michael David Commons and Eric Trenton Commons, granddaughter Cara Meagher and her husband, Marcus and great grandson Joseph, granddaughter Lindsey Krysl, stepdaughter Betty Nelson and her husband Kenneth, and stepson Jim Commons and his wife, Doris. A visitation will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home Wednesday, August 1, 2012 5:00 to 7:00p.m. Her memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 2, 2012 at Valley View Christian Church 17601 Marsh Lane, Dallas, Texas 75287
