Mrs. Erma Grace Crews, 79, died Wednesday night (February 4, 2009) at her residence following an extended illness.
She was a native of Brantley County, GA but had lived most of her life in Ware County. She was the wife of the late Russell Crews and daughter of the late Zibe King, Sr. and Alice Roberson King. She was also preceded in death by a son, Perry Crews.
She attended Sweat Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann Veasey (husband Charles Wayne) of Brunswick; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren; six sisters, Willene Proctor of Forest Park, Winnie Johnson (husband Donald) of Yulee, FL, Mary Clubb (husband Cornell) of Waycross, Marie Petty (husband Eddie), Lois Corbitt and Loretta Waldron all of Manor; five brothers, Edward King of Nahunta, Mack King (wife Bobbie) of Waycross, Barney King, Melvin King and Zibe King, Jr. all of Brantley County, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday (February 7, 2009) in the Music Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in the Greenlawn Mausoleum.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday evening at Music Funeral Home.
