Donald Lyle King, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah.
Born January 21, 1925 in Magna, Utah, the ninth child and fifth son of Reuben King and Mary Manning.
Graduated Cyprus High School, Class of 1942. Military service, US Army Air Force World War II. BSME University of Utah in 1948. Married his sweetheart, Alice Elizabeth Johnson, on June 30, 1948.
Engineering manager Eimco PEC. Member of engineering technical societies: Tau Beta Pi; American Society of Mechanical Engineers - Life Fellow; and Society of Mining Engineers - Senior Member.
Dedicated life long member of the LDS Church and served in multiple capacities including, with his wife, a mission in Texas and 14 years of temple service. During his employment, he traveled worldwide and was greatly respected by his peers.
He was deeply loved by his family and is survived by his wife, Alice; their four children, Dennis (Joyce), Kevan (Evie), Susan (David) and Brian (Mary); three grandchildren, Justin (Kate), Karen, and Brad.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009 in the LDS Chapel, 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive, Bountiful, Utah. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, and on Saturday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m at the Church prior to the services
Interment-Bountiful Memorial Park.
