Death Takes Mrs. Griff
DURHAMVILLE -- Mrs. Allen Griff, 93, Center St., Durhamville, died Saturday in Gerritt-Smith Infirmary, Eaton, after a long illness.
The former Cora King, she was born Nov 28, 1880 in Verona, daughter of John and Olive Talcott King. Mr. Griff died Dec 15, 1944.
Mrs. Griff was a member of the Durhamville Baptist Church, its Women's Society and the State Bridge Social Chain.
Survivors are three sons, Walter, and Allen both of Oneida, and Harold Griff, Collamer; two daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Olive) Dorn, Oneida Castle and Mrs. Joseph (Ruth) Nolan, Syracuse, a brother F. Earl King, Buffalo and a sister, Miss Ola King, Oneida.
A private funeral will be held Tuesday at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Oneida. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Monday.
