Mrs Eugenia King Coughenour, resident of Cornelia Nixon Davis Nursing Home, wife of Herbert G. Coughenour, died Monday afternoon in New Hanover Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs Coughenour was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 15, 1892, the daughter of the late William Edward and Caroline Robbins King. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Goldenrod Chapter Nr 142, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs Charles E. (Frances) Dinsmore of Wilmington, a sister, Mrs. J. C. Snyder of Florence, S. C., two brothers, Richard M. King and Harry A. King, both of Wilmington, two grand daughters Mrs. Gilbert L. Hale and Mrs. Howard Mitchell Sizemore, both of Wilmington, and two great granddaughters and a great grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Andrews Mortuary Wednesday afternoon at 3 p. m. by the Rev. Sidney Boone. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert T. Pigford, W. A. Walker and members of the O'keef Bible Class.
Active pallbearers will be Edward Wood, Howard Sizemore, Gilbert L. Hale, H. J. Sharp, C. E. McCullough, Gilbert Hale.
The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Dinsmore, 2106 Rhodes Ave.
