Mrs. Emma Myrtle Steele, 90, of 1807 Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas died Wednesday at Providence-St. Margaret health Center. She was born in Triplett, Mo., and had lived in Kansas City, Kansas, 58 years. Mrs. Steele worked in the cafeteria at the former St. Margaret Hospital 23 years before retiring in 1953. She was a member of the Oakland Park Baptist Church. She leaves two sons, Walter A. Steele of the home and T.J. Steele, 1813 Salisbury Road, Independence; a daughter, Mrs. Melba L. Cheek, 9210 W. 49th Merriam; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Fulton-Nickel Chapel; burial in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
