Coffeyville, Kansas-Leona Fern Blagg, 82, retired teacher and nurses's aide, died Saturday. Services 1pm Wednesday, Graves Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services for Leona Fern Blagg, 82, Derby, were held today (Wednesday) in the Graves Funeral Home Chapel, Coffeyville, with David Bycroft of the Tyro Christian Church officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
She died Saturday, February 17, 1996 at the home of her son in Derby.
Leona Fern Blagg was born November 3, 1919 in Coffeyvile to Earl and Edna (Noyse) Kincheloe. She attended grade school in Neosho, Missouri and graduated from Valeda High School. She received a teaching certificate at Altamont. Later she received her teaching degree, majoring in English, from Pittbur Teachers College. She also was a nurse aide at Mercy Hospital and had worked at Electra, both in Independence.
Mrs. Blagg lived in the Coffeyville and Tyro area for many years, then moved to Independence in 1965. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Caney and Church of the Brehren in Independence. Her hobbies included gardening and crocheting.
On June 8, 1940 she married Carl Amos Blagg at Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded his wife in death on August 11, 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Leon Blagg, Derby and Larry Blagg, Route 4, Coffeyville; one step-daughter Nadine Reilly, California; four brothers, Merle Kinoleloe, Winfield, Bobby Kincheloe, Manhattan, Lloyd and Dale Kincheloe, both of Idaho; three sisters, Clara Herron, Edna, Donna Coud, Oregon, and Bonita Goodman, Sycamore; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Carl Richard Blagg in 1072, two brother and two sisters.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care Inc. of Derby. Memorials may be left at Graves Funeral Home, Coffeyville, which was in charge of arrangements.
