She and her loving husband of 57 years, Stanley L. Corbin, resided in the Waverly/Piketon area and spent six months of the year at their home in Tavares, Fla. She was a graduate of Pedro High School and she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Waverly.
She will be sadly missed by her loving son and daughter-in-law, of Piketon, and one granddaughter.
Survivors include two sisters and their husbands; one brother and his wife, of Loveland, Colo.; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Two infant brothers preceded her in death.
Genny was past worthy matron of the Eastern Star of Waverly Chapter 99 and held a grand office in 1981. She was a former co-owner of Fashion Flair and a past employee of First National Bank, both in Waverly. She was a member of the Go-Go Girls Homemaker Club, enjoyed playing bridge and visiting with family and friends. She especially liked to cook and prepare special food items for others.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly with the Rev. Vernagaye Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Union Cemetery, located on Bridge St. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
