James R. (J.R.) Kimball of Mormon Church Road, Buchanan, passed away Saturday,
November 25, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in
Haralson County, January 8, 1924, son of the late Roy Kimball and Julie Bennett
Kimball. Mr. Kimball was a retired employee of the Atlanta Tile and Marble
Company, a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Hardin in 2006.
Survivors include wife, Bobbie Crawford Kimball of Buchanan; children, Judy
Kimball , Tallapoosa, Rex Kimball of Buchanan, Teresa Kimball of Tallapoosa,
Scott and Melinda Kimball of Woodstock, Lisa Mengarelli, Carrollton and
Cynthia Kimball of Buchanan; a brother, Horace Kimball, Buchanan; seven
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services were Monday, November 27 at 4:00 P.M. from the chapel of
Hightower Funeral Home with Elder Steve Kimball, Elder Kim Hardin,
Elder Keith Hardin, Ronnie Kimball, Lisa Mengarelli, Scott Kimball and Jade
Kimball officiating. Music was furnished by Bonnie Sanders, Chris Keaton and
Jade Kimball. James Cothern, Jeff Cagle, Lance Hardin, Seth Hardin, Richard
Crawford and Ricky Eaves served as pallbearers. Interment followed in Perryman
Cemetery with the Haralson County Military Honor Guard , under the direction of Sammy Robinson, in charge of the Military Honors. Hightower Funeral Home of
Bremen was in charge of the arrangements.
