Bok Kimball Jr. Dies Today in Veteran Center
Bok Kimball Jr., 54, of 817-20th S. E., owner of Rogers-Wade Company, furniture manufacturers, died of illness Monday at 6:00 a.m. in the veterans center hospital at Bonham. He was a World War II Navy officer.
The funeral, Tuesday at 2 p.m., will be held at Fry & Gibbs chapel, interment to be made in Evergreen Cemetery.
Son of the late Bok Kimball Sr., and Margaret Caldwell Kimball, Bok Kimball Jr., was born in Paris, Dec. 23, 1913. He was a graduate of Paris High School, Paris Junior College and Texas A&M University.
He was a steward of First Methodist Church and member of its Methodist Men organization, and was on the board of Evergreen Cemetery and the Lamar County Selective Service Board. He was a Rotarian, member of the business men's Bonehead Club and of Paris Golf and Country Club. He had succeeded his late father as head of the Rogers-Wade manufacturing concern, the oldest continuous business in Paris.
He married Miss Mary Dale Evans in Texarkana, Sept. 7, 1940, and she survives besides four children: Mrs. Carole Armstrong, Mrs. Jerry Davis, Miss Kathy Kimball and Patrick Caldwell Kimball, all of Paris; two grandsons and a sister, Mrs. W. H. Ayers Jr., Paris
