Mrs Ada Almetta Brown

Mrs Ada Almetta Brown died at the Clinic hospital at 1 pm Friday of complications. The deceased, who was 72, was a resident of Springfield Township.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 pm (EST) from the Free Methodist Church at Springville, with Rev Donald C Ford, Michigan City, officiating. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery. Friends may call at 905 Buffalo St., Michigan City, Monday afternoon and evening.

The deceased is survived by her husband, Nelson Brown; two daughters, Mrs Olive Slater, Springfield township, and Mrs Herman Nelson, Michigan City; three sons, Ira Brown, Niles, Mich; Henry Brown, Crawfordsville, and Ora Brown, Michigan City; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Five children preceded her in death. Also surviving are three brothers, charles and George Kilmer of Springfield township; and Edward Kilmer, LaPorte.

Mrs Brown was born in Springfield Township November 4, 1863, the daughter of Henry and Alma Kilmer, both deceased, and resided in the township all her life. She was married in August, 1883, in New Buffalo, Michigan.
