RITES FOR MRS. BOHON HELD TODAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Bohon who passed away Tuesday morning after a lingering illness, were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the New Providence Presbyterian church at Benbow with Dr. J. W. Purcell, pastor of the Palmyra Presbyterian church, conducting the rites. The remains were laid to rest in the New Providence cemetery.
Mrs. Bohon was born Dec. 5, 1849, near Pittsfield, and was 82 years old at her last birthday. She had been in poor health for some time, and had gradually been growing weaker. Her death occurred early Tuesday morning at the family home in the Savoy building. She was the widow of the late J. W. Bohon, who died six years ago. She was a member of the New Providence church at Benbow.
Surviving Mrs. Bohon are two children, E. C. Bohon, county superintendent of schools, and Mrs. E. E. Gardhouse, both of this city.
