"Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Cashon, 57, died of carcinoma Tuesday afternoon at her home on Raccoon road. She had been in failing health for several months. Born Nov. 28, 1895, in Martin, Tenn., she was a daughter of Alonzo and Emma Blakemore Killebrew. She came to Canfield township from Youngstown 28 years ago. Mrs. Cashon was a member of the Canfield Methodist church, Eastern Star Lodge of Youngstown, and Canfield Court No. 39, Order of the Amaranth. Surviving are her husband, John R. Cashon, Sr., whom she married in 1917; four sons, Jay E. of Miami, Fla., John R. Jr., Robert D. and Charles A., all of Canfield; ten grandchildren, and a brother, Walter Killebrew of Union City, Tenn. Funeral services, with Rev. O. O. Wilson in charge, will be held at the Williams Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Friday."
