Edith ,a popular teacher of second grade in Gatesville Elementary School taught 23 years; 3 years in Ft. Bend county,at Martindale; 1 year in San Marcos; and at Concord near Turnerville 2 years and then at Pidcoke 4 years before coming to Gatesville. She has been a member of Alpha chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma teachers society since 1943 and has been a long time active member First Baptist church. She enjoyed tatting lace and gave it to family members. After retiring she moved to San Antonio.
