Mrs. Mary Lizzie Baker, 78, widow of James Baker, one of the well known and highly respected women of Beallsville, died last night at 10:15 o’clock at her home in Beallsville after an illness of one week following a heart attack.
Mrs. Baker was born April 5, 1861. Her husband James Baker died April of 1933.
The following children survive: Mrs. J. F. Patterson, Donora; Mars. Rena L. Kinder, Scenery Hill; Mrs. R. J. Coulson, Washington; Roy W. Baker, Montreal, Canada; Fred I. Baker, Washington, D. C., and J. Glenn Baker, Donora. She leaves 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baker was a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Beallsville and one of its most active members.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, at 2 p.m., at the Baker home. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
