EAST PALESTINE - Mrs. Donelda "Sis" Boyles, 86, of 368 East North Ave., passed away at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Vista Center of Lisbon.
Mrs. Boyles was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Negley, a daughter of the late Albert and Mary Green Kiehl and had been a lifelong resident of East Palestine.
She had at one time been employed as a clerk at the Dollar General Store of East Palestine and as a file clerk at the Columbiana County Mental Health Clinic of Lisbon.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ of East Palestine.
Her husband, H.arold J. Boyles, whom she married March 9, 1946, preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1979. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Marion, Wayne and Jim Kiehl and a sister, Jean Kiehl Boyles.
Mrs. Boyles is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. (Carol) Boyles of Austintown and Richard L. (Wendy) Boyles of New Waterford; a daughter, Linda (Terry) Pitzer of New Waterford; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her three brothers, Richard Kiehl of New Waterford, Melvin Kiehl of Austintown and William Kiehl of Negley; and two sisters, Vera "Betts" Lewis of East Palestine, and Clara "Boots" Guesman of Negley.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the time of the service.
Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
