Edna M. Anderson, age 86 passed away on Saturday, March 7, 1999 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born on March 21, 1912 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Frederick and Matilda Kiefer. Edna married Edwin V. Anderson in 1943. Following the death of her husband in 1950, she raised two sons Jim and Jon, while maintaining a variety of retail sales positions, most recently with Bormann's. Edna enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several bridge clubs for over 50 years. Edna will he remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, compassion and unconditional love for her family and many friends. Survivors include two sons, James (Marianne), Newtown, Connecticut and Jon, Jacksonville, Florida; a step-daughter, Judy Anderson, Hammond, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brett Anderson, Kristina Anderson, Michelle Anderson, Kate Herron and Emily Anderson; two great-grandsons, Briar and Kaleb Herron. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harry Kiefer. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 9, 1999 at the TUSCHEN-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Pastor Dean M. Kirst officiating. A private interment will be at the Sun Prairie City Cemetery. WSJ 3/8/1999
