Obituary on funeral home web site: Rebecca Kibler Driggers, 95, of Newberry, widow of Daniel Luther "Pete" Driggers, died Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Tidelands Community Hospice in Georgetown. Born on September 26, 1914, in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late Adam [sic] and Lavina Ruff Kiber. Mrs. Driggers was a retired sales associate at B.C. Moore. She was a member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Joy Fellowship and the B Sunday School Class. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Tom Crean of Springfield, VA and Linda and Gerry Harmon of Georgetown; a brother, Earl Kibler of Spartanburg; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, David Kibler, sisters, Ruth Stone, Claudia Stone, Ethel Livingston, Eloise Werts, Kathryn Mills and Sudie Metts. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010, at St. Philip's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108. Active pallbearers: Ramsay Dawson, Tommy Driggers, Gerald Harmon, Jr., Blair Googer, Richard Holter, Larry Kibler and Steve Metts. Honorary pallbearers: St. Philip's Lutheran Church B Sunday School Class members.
