Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Odle; grandchildren, Kevin Scott Black, Matthew Odle, Mark (Cindy) Odle, and Marshal Odle; great-grandchildren, Kelsea McKiness and Chase Andrew Odle; great-great-grandson, Jayce Jacob McKiness; several cousins; and, many friends and neighbors in the Hazel Dell area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Lois Black; brothers, Glen Kibler and Earl Kibler; sisters Iva (Griffith) Huss, Inez (Roy) Hubbard, Ethel James; and, granddaughter, Melinda Odle.
Florence was a member of the Hazel Dell Church of God, where she attended for over fifty years. She was a member of the Hazel Dell Homemakers Club. Florence was a full-time farm wife. She worked her entire life on the farm with her husband, maintaining her home, her yard, her garden, and raising her family. In later years, she and her husband enjoyed winters in FL. Florence always took time to visit with family and friends, which she truly enjoyed.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2013 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Emrich officiating. Burial followed in the Hazel Dell South Cemetery, Hazel Dell, IL. Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 Central Ave,, Casey, IL.
Florence stayed alone in her own home until less than 3 weeks before her death. She was very proud of being 98 1/2, too!!
