Mildred Keyser Abbott, 86, of Elkview, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Marvin Abbott; her loving daughter, Cheyenne Shaffer (FAG #142425611); and her parents, John and Lessie White Keyser.

Mildred was born and raised in Gandeeville, but moved to Elkview in 1961. She worked as a waitress at several places, but last worked at the Southern Kitchen. She was a member of Elkview Baptist Church.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Billy Aaron (Sally) Shaffer, Leslie Shaffer Racine; brothers, Tom Keyser of Gandeeville, Bernard (Ruth) Keyser of Speed, W.Va.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Service will be noon Saturday, June 25, at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Sizemore officiating. Entombment will be at Elk Hills Memorial Mausoleum, Big Chimney. Visitation will be will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
