Arden E. Kester, age 83, Fremont, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 25, 2000, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, Wisconsin. He was born March 11, 1917, in the Town of Fremont, the son of the late Henry and Hulda (Wohlt) Kester. On May 31, 1941, he was married to Betty M. Neuschafer at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fremont, Wisconsin. Arden was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on their finance committee. He was employed at Wolf River Oil Co. for 28 years delivering fuel and then was a self-employed painter for 12 years. Arden was the former secretary-treasurer and assistant chief of the Fremont Fire Department, a former school board member, he served as treasurer for the Village of Fremont and was a former village trustee. Arden was past president of AAL, Branch 1463.
