VISALIA, Calif. — Maudean Kesler Pratt Harding, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2006, in Visalia, Calif., at her home. She was born to Oscar and Maud Riggs Kesler June 5, 1921, in Alexander, Idaho. Maudean had lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she worked at Utah Power and Light. She also worked at Monsanto in Soda Springs, and Farmers Home Administration in Blackfoot and Pocatello, Idaho, where she traveled and trained people in Idaho and Alaska. She retired as a government employee in 1989.
She enjoyed mystery stories on TV, crossword puzzles, fishing, playing cards with friends, bowling and trips to Jackpot, Nevada. She belonged to Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Leah Rebekah Lodge (Soda Springs, Idaho), NARFE in Visalia, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.
She had lived in Visalia for 15 years. Living close to her daughter, Carol Ann Pratt Christensen (husband, Glen) was the joy of her life.
She is survived by her daughter and four grandchildren, Dean Christensen (Valerie) of Visalia, Calif., D'Ann DaBell (Todd) of Park City, Utah, Joyce Bergshoeff (Steven) of Visalia, Nancy Schmall of Visalia; and 12 great-grandchildren, Jessica, Marc, Tre'se, Jordan, David, Paige, Seth, Tanner, Nathanael, Janessa, Benjamin and Yarel.
Her family was her greatest blessing. "Sure do love ya, Grandma!"
Funeral will be held Saturday, November 4, 11 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 4000 West Caldwell in Visalia, Calif., with a gravesite dedication in Wellsville, Utah, Saturday, November 11 at 1 p.m.
Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel, Visalia, was in charge of arrangements.
