Birth: Aug. 17, 1873
Death: Feb. 15, 1947

Veteran of WWI Born Columbia, Lancaster county, PA to Father: John B Kerner of Germany Mother: Emma C Mickley of Pennsylvania. An electrician, Charles Henry married Tressa Graham they lived together in Elkins, Randolph county, W VA.
Charles Henry Kerner was the son of John A Kerner and Emma Caroline Himmen (not Mickley). His mother Emma was the daughter of John Himmen and Rebecca Mickley which is the Mickley connection.

The following is a newspaper article that further substantiates this:

Celebrated Golden Wedding Day

Mr. and Mrs. John Kerner, 1912 Green street, yesterday rounded out a half century of married life, and last evening were honor guests at a family dinner party at the Orpheum. The decorations of house and table were gold and white, and the couple were the recipients of a number of gold pieces, gifts and cards of congratulation. Among them was a bouquet of orange blossoms and fifty small oranges from Florida.

Miss Emma Himmen and John Kerner, of Lancaster, were married by the Rev. Samuel Laird, of the Trinity Lutheran church. Mrs. Carr, of Philadelphia, who served as bridesmaid, was in attendance last evening. Mrs. Kerner's grandfather and grand uncle had the honor of taking the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia to Allentown at the time of the revolution. Mr. and Mrs. Kerner's children were all present yesterday, except one son John, of New York, and they are: Charles, of Elkins, W. Va.; Frank, of Cresson; Mrs. Sara Reen, and Mrs. George Detz, of this city. They also have eight grand children and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. George Seavy, of Pittsburgh, a niece, was a guest.

Mr. and Mrs. Kerner removed to this city from Columbia about nine years ago, and both are in enjoyment of good health.
