Jeanne K. Bloise of 432 Alder Street passed away Sat. June 21, 2008 at, her summer home, 42 South Shore Road on Cuba Lake.

Mrs. Bloise was born on Aug. 2, 1945 in Olean and was a daughter of Herbert T. and Patricia Scholl Kent. On Oct. 3, 1964 in St. Bonaventure Church she married James V. Bloise, Jr. who survives.

Mrs. Bloise was a 1963 graduate of Olean High School. She began her career in 1980 as a Regional Sale Coordinator for the Big E/ Empire of America Bank. She then became an independent broker before going to work for AFLAC as a Regional Sale Coordinator where she worked up until July of 2007 due to her illness. She also owned and operated "Cuba Treasures".

Mrs. Bloise enjoyed boating & water skiing, scuba diving, horse back riding, animals including her cat "Kitty", sewing, traveling, camping & antiques.

Surviving Mrs. Bloise besides her husband are her mother, Patricia Kent of Cuba; a son, James V. (Christina L.) Bloise III of Olean; two daughters, Kimberly A. (Fred Quattrone, Jr.) Bloise of Olean and Deborah L. (Darik) Layman of Olean; four grandchildren, James V. "Bubbs" Bloise IV, Brandin L. Layman, Alexis H. Layman, and Ariah C. Bloise; three brothers, Max D. (Paulette) Kent of Hinsdale, Stephen G. (Karen) Kent of Portville, and Herbert J. (Lynn) Kent of Ware, NH.; two sisters Jacquelyn E. (Kenneth) Fowler of Portville and E. Bonnie (Dave) Lancaster of Lyons, N.Y.; and several nieces & nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean, where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Jerome M. Dissek, Pastor of Our Lady of Angels Church in Cuba will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, N.Y.

Memorials may be made to the Home Care & Hospice 1225 West State Street, Olean.
