WOMAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION A southwest Oklahoma City woman, severely injured Tuesday in a two car-wreck, remained on life-support systems Wednesday, while the driver of the other car was freed on $2,000 bond on a drunken driving complaint. Mary Pauline Bachhofer, 52, was listed in very critical condition at South Community Hospital with massive hear injuries. Her southbound car was struck Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of SW 44 and Pennsylvania by a speeding car driven by Michael Leon Stearman, 30. Police said Stearman's northbound car hist the passenger side of Bachhofer's vehicle as she was turning left into a shopping center. Stearman was arrested on a DUI complaint.

MANSLAUGHTER CHARGES TO BE SOUGHT IN CASE Police said Tuesday they will seek a manslaughter charge against the driver of a car involved in a fatal accident last week in southwest Oklahoma City. Michael Leon Stearman, 30, who was arrested on a drunken driving complaint following the Dec. 2 wreck, remains free on a $2,000 bail. Stearman received only minor injuries when his car, which authorities said was speeding north on Pennsylvania near SW 44, broadsided a car driven by Mary Pauline Bachhofer of Oklahoma City, as the woman was turning into a parking lot. Bachhofer, who had been on life-support systems since the wreck, died Monday at South Community Hospital.

BACHHOFER, Mary Pauline, 53, went home to her Saviour on Dec. 8, 1986. She was a member of the Shields Ave. Baptist Church. Pauline worked for the State of Okla. for 32 years and was the supervisor of data processing for the State Tourism Dept. she did volunteer work at South Community Hospital. Her going has left a void in the lives of her family, friends and neighbors. Pauline is mourned by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ellis Watson; her sister, Linda Hill; a brother, John Kennon; paternal grandmother, Zell Kennon; maternal aunt, Beuna Walker; 27 nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors. Services will be 2pm, Thursday, Dec. 11, 1986, in the Hunter Memory Chapel, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Pauline's memory to M.A.D.D.
