Lorene Moore

Lorene Kennedy Moore was born in Frisco May 30, 1917. She was the oldest of three children born to George Clint Kennedy and Ethel Bishop Kennedy. She married Tom Moore of Roane and lived all of her married life in Roane and Corsicana. She has two sons to whom she devoted her unfailing love and energy, Bob and Terry Moore. Lorene was a longtime and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Corsicana where she served many years as Sunday School teacher and in ministry to nursing home patients. She worked for many years as a social worker for the Texas Department of Human Resources.

Lorene Moore was a joyful, loving woman who set an example of Christian ethics and godliness for all who knew her. She is survived by two sons, Bob and his wife Kaye, Terry and his wife Susan of Dallas. She had four grandchildren, Mark, Sloan, David and Meredith Moore. David and his wife Christina gave her the gifts of two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ethan Moore. She will be missed greatly by all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday January 28, 2010 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be 11am Friday January 29, 2010 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B. F. Risinger officating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Moore, Sloan Moore, David Moore. Honorary pallbearer Dr. Dave Campbell
