On March 15, 2013 Elsie Martha Archer (nee Kempf)passed away peacefully at the age of 96 while sleeping. Predeceased by her husband John, and parents Jakob and Katharina, brothers Robert and Reinhold, sister Katherine, nephew David Rau, brothers-in-law Jim Rau and Sam Archer, sisters-in-law Olive McVety, Connie Batchelor and Amy Walgren. Elsie and her late husband John were not blessed with children, and she is survived by sister Sarah Rau and brother Fred and several nieces and nephews. As a child, she moved with her family from Alberta to the Prelate district. From there she moved to the Coderre district where she attended school. After her school days were over, she worked at the Ben Fleishman store in Vantage where she met John Archer. They were married on December 31, 1947 and farmed together until they retired in 1982. After John's death on March 27 1997, she lived alone in Mossbank for a few years before moving to Regina to share an apartment with her brother Robert. In July of 2007 Elsie and Robert both moved to the Regina Lutheran Home where she resided until her passing. A sincere thank you to all the staff at the Regina Lutheran Home for the wonderful care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elsie's memory to your favorite charity. Private interment will be held at a later date at the Mossbank Cemetery. In living memory of Elsie, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
