Ada (Kemp) Divins
Ada (Kemp) Divins, age 96, of Erie, died at St. Vincent Health Center, Friday, August 17, 2012. Born in Barnsboro, Pa., February 15, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Emmaline (Tellem) Kemp.
She had worked at Lord Corp., G.E. and later at Hamot Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Divins in 1992; two grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Dietlin; three sisters, Dorothy Colburg, Beatrice Coyle and Barbara Hoffman; a brother, Richard Kemp.
Ada is survived by a son, Rodney A. Divins, wife Elaine, of Harborcreek and a daughter, Lorraine L. Dietlin, husband Curt, of Erie; seven grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Kirk and John Divins, Carol Frawley, Jennifer Eppolito and Renee Holland; ten great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Home, Monday from 6-9 p.m., and to attend a service there Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
