Mary (Kelsey) Bartlett, 83, of East Hartford died Monday, (March 1, 2004) at Marlborough Health Care. Mary was predeceased in 1967 by her husband, Henry Bartlett.
She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Ellen (Morahan) Kelsey of Windsor Locks. Mary was a communicant of St. Christopher Church in East Hartford. She retired in 1985 from the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. She had previously worked at the State Department of Transportation, the offices of First National Stores, and the Hartford Insurance Group.
Mary is survived by her five children and spouses; Thomas and Marguerite Bartlett of Apache Junction, AZ, Susan and Ronnie Wilson of East Hartford, Deacon William and Denise Bartlett of Manchester, Elizabeth and Donald Miller of Chandler, AZ and Ann and Curtis Plander of Hebron.
She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; Valerie, Alison, Jennifer, Kimberly, William, Wendy, Michael, Victoria, and Shannon, and two great-grandchildren, Rhiannon and Tucker. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy Burwood, Floyd Kelsey, Malcolm Kelsey and a granddaughter, Stephanie Plander.
The Bartlett family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding compassionate care provided by Marlborough Health Care. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 4, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St. Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Road, Manchester. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford.
