Resident of Oregon Since 1858 Born In Canada – Funeral Services to Be Held Here Tomorrow at J. P. Finley & Son Chapel.
Funeral services for Mrs. May Elizabeth Kelly Biles, 89, resident of Oregon since 1853, who died February 13 at the home of Her daughter, Miss Daisy A. G. Biles, at Seaside, will be held tomorrow at 1 P.M. from the chapel of J. P. Finley & Son. Interment will be in the Riverview cemetery.
Mrs. Biles was born in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada, on June 16, 1841. She came to Oregon in 1953 with her parents, Captain and Mrs. William Kelly. Captain Kelly was a leader in the Modoc Indian war. She was married to John D. Biles, pioneer of 1849, several years after arrival here.
She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal church for almost a century.
The surviving relatives include two daughters, Mrs. J. P. VanHouten and Miss Daisy A. G Biles of Seaside; one son, W. S. Biles of Garden Home, and a sister, Miss Eleanor B. Kelly, Portland.
