ACKELS. Stella Elizabeth Kelley Ackels, 90, of Dallas, Texas, born Nov. 25, 1904, in Waco, Texas, died Jan. 1, 1995. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam Ackels, and her daughter, Norma Ackels Salem. She is survived by her sister, Olga Kelley; and her children, Dorothy LaVerne Ackels, Marlene and George Mallick, and Paul and Ellen Ackels; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Rosary was said Tuesday (Jan. 3, 1995) 7 p.m., at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Ga rland Road, Dallas, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday (Jan. 4, 1995) 10 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Dallas Texas. Interment was in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas Texas. Pallbearers were Anthony J. Ackels, Stephe n M. Ackels, J. Christopher Mallick, Stephen J. Mallick, Lawrence E. Ackels Jr., and Henry J. Ackels. Memorials may be made to the Community Hospice of St. Joseph, 1401 S. Main St., Fort Worth, TX 76104.
