ALBANY - Dorothy Evelyn Keller, 97, of Albany, IN passed away peacefully in her home, Monday evening, March 16, 2015 with family by her side.
She was born February 23, 1918 in Grant County, IN the daughter of Lessie Leroy and Josephine Evelyn (Mitchell) Wimmer. She was a 1936 graduate of Union Township High School.
Dorothy worked as administrator and owner from 1947-1985, by her husband's side, at RC Bob Keller Contracting, Inc. Robert and Dorothy had met at Kuhner Packing Company. She was a member of Union Chapel Ministries where she was active with the M&M group. She had previously gone to Madison St. Church where she had taught Sunday school.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Gary Keller (wife, Lois) of Ridgeville, IN and Allan Keller (wife, Floriene) of Yorktown, IN; a daughter, Lois Keller of Albany, IN; a sister, Betty (Wimmer) Whaley of Phoenix, AZ; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Union Chapel Ministries of Muncie, IN.
Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery of Muncie, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
