William "Bill" I. Keller, 85, of Morganton, NC passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born in Burke County, NC on February 12, 1928, he was the son of the late James McClean Keller and Ollie Anderson Keller.
Bill worked for many years as a sales representative for MDI before opening Keller's IGA in Glen Alpine. He was a manufacturers' representative for Keller and Associates prior to his retirement.
Bill is survived by his wife, Joyce Hayes Keller of the home; daughters, Katenia Keller of Freedom, ME and Kristy Graf and her husband, John, of Morganton; sons, Brian Keller and his wife, Deanna, of Morganton, Blake Keller of Beaver, WV, and Bart Keller and his wife, Donna, of Morganton; grandchildren, Nathan, Seth, Tyler, and Austin Keller and Cloe Graf; his first cousin, Andrew Seminick and his wife, Bobbie, and their daughter, Andy Kay of Melbourne, FL; a brother-in-law, Donald Hayes and his wife, Geraldine, of Belmont, NC; a sister-in-law, Shirley Causby and her husband, Earl, of Morganton, and a sister-in-law, Vera Hayes, of Dallas, NC.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by first cousin Lew Childre and his wife, Vivian, "Bebe"; brother-in-law, Arlon Hayes; and sister-in-law, Lois Henderson, and her husband, Bob.
The Family will receive friends at Sossoman Funeral Home on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. The graveside service will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rocky McLendon officiating.
