Mabel E. Douglass of Frankfort rt. 7 died Thursday night at 8 o'clock in Clinton County Hospital at the age of 77, less than a month after her husband, Abe, passed away. She had been in failing health for a year.
Mrs. Douglass, who previously had lived near Kilmore, was a native of Clinton County, born November 16, 1889, to Jeremiah J. and Etta M. Ferling Kelleher. She married the late Mr. Douglass November 4, 1914, and he passed away March 1 of this year.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Beard Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, Pierre R. Douglass of Frankfort; a sister, Mrs. Sherry Conner of Los Angeles, California; and three grandchildren, Susan A. Douglass and Sara A. Douglass, both of Ball State U., and David Douglass, at home.
Two brothers, Melvin and Earl Kelleher, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Goodwin Funeral Home. Dr. Frank R. Greer officiating.
Entombment will be in Greenlawn Mausoleum.
