Brunswick, ME - Roberta J Kelleher, 69, died Sept 13th 2012, at her home in Brunswick, ME after a long battle with COPD.
Roberta was born in Worcester, Mass on August 16th, 1943 to the late Edward Eressy and Catherine (Mulhern) Eressy. She resided in Forest City, Maine where she graduated from East Grand High School in 1961. She then enlisted in the Navy and served for two years. She married and moved to Presque Isle Maine, where she was a bus driver and mother of four. She attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle and received an Associate degree in Criminal Justice in 1977. In 1981 she moved back to Worcester where she became a Postal Carrier and met her husband Terrence Kelleher. The couple moved to Eastham, Mass where Terrence was a mail carrier and they remained there until retirement. In June of 2011, they relocated to Brunswick, Maine to be closer to their children and grand-children. Roberta was an active member in the American Legion in Sandwich and the Elks Lodge in Eastham, Mass. She loved playing bingo and watching the Red Sox.
Kelleher is predeceased by her husband of 22 years, Terrence. A memorial service celebrating both her life and the life of her husband Terrence will be held on Oct 7th at 1:00 p.m. at the North Camps in Rangeley, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Lung Assoc . of Maine, 122 State Street Augusta, ME 04330.
