Mrs. Henry Brides - Wife of Labor Leader
Mrs. Ella T. (Kelleher) Brides, 64, of 11 Hillcrest Ave., wife of labor leader Henry J. Brides, died unexpectedly Friday at Goddard Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Brides, a resident of the city for more than 40 years, was a native of Lawrence. Her husband is regional manager of International Ladies' Garment Workers Union. He was the former president of the Massachusetts Branch of the American Federation of Labor.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Barry of Avon, Mrs. Paul (Shirley) Morrissey of Holbrook and Mrs. John (Jean) Coyle of Randolph; a sister, Miss Katherine J. Kelleher of Brockton; a brother, Robert J. Kelleher of Shrewsbury; 18 grandchildren.
The funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 9 Chester Ave, will be at 9 a.m. Monday with a High Mass of Requiem in St. Edward's Church at 10. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
