AUTHOR KELLAND"S WIFE DIES AT 73

Mrs. Betty Kelland, wife of author Clarence Budington Kelland, died today at a Phoenix Hospital. She was 73.

Mrs. Kelland had recently undergone surgery.

She and the author of many novels and magazine serials had been married for 53 years.

In addition to her husband, Mrs Kelland is survived by her two sons, Horace of New York and Thomas, executive business editor of the Arizona Republic.
