Vera Davey was born April 2, 1907 in Detroit, the daughter of James and Emma (Lapere) Kelland. She married William M. Davey in Detroit on Jan.1, 1923 and he passed, away June 13, 1967. Mr.and Mrs. Davey were former owners of Davey's Grocery of Alpena and she lived in Silverwood prior to moving to Fostoria, 8 yrs. ago. Mrs. Davey was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church of Lapeer.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lyman (Delores) Turner of Fostoria and Mrs Glen (Lorraine) Reich of Lapeer; two daughters-in-laws, Mrs. Theo Davey and Mrs Kathryn Davey, both of Lapeer; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs.Ruth Brace of Superior, Ariz. Two sons, Clyde and James, predeceased her.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Blackmore and Tubbs Chapel Rev. Canon Yung Chou officiated and
burial was at Rich Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church.
