An illness of one week resulted in the death yesterday morning at 5 of Mrs Nathan Ross, 84, at her home, 28 Maffett Street, Plains Township.
Mrs. Ross was the former Elizabeth Kear, a native of Glasgow, Scotland. Had she lived until December 31, she and her husband would have marked their 58th wedding anniversary. They were married December 31, 1888, by the late Rev. Mr. Smith, in Plains Presbyterian Church. Mr. Ross, who is 82, is a former employe of Sheldon Axle Works and Matfett Street grade school building. Mrs. Ross was a member of Plains Presbyterian Church and the Fidelis Bible Class.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Nathan, Jr., of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Stanley R. Evans of Brooklyn; Mrs. LeGrande Bisher and Mrs. Guy Barr, both of Plains; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Marshall, Kingston, and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Monday at 2:30 from the home, with services at 3 in Plains Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jesse R. Lonsinger will officiate, assisted by Rev. Stanley R. Evans. Interment will be in Hollenback Cemetery. Arrangements by J. S. Miller.
