|Birth: ||May 2, 1882|
|Death: ||Feb. 17, 1944|
C.F. Kehoe, 62, for many years a Fort Dodge druggist, died at his home, 1812 Third avenue north, this morning after a brief illness.
Born in Davenport, he came here more than 40 years ago and opened the Kehoe Drug Company. Later he operated the Wahkonsa pharmacy at 925 Central Avenue. He retired several years ago.
Hundreds of Fort Dodgers knew him as Francis, an enjoyed his never-failing fund of wit. His pharmacy was for many years the gathering place of a group of friends who counted on his companionship and humor. They felt a genuine loss when he made up his mind to retire.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Donald, who is in the army, a brother, Leonard Kehoe of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Sheley [Shiley] and Miss Neoma [Naomi] Kehoe, both of Graettinger.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Laufersweller funeral home and at 9 o'clock at Corpus Christi church.
Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. (Fort Dodge Messenger and Chronicle, Fort Dodge, IA, Feb. 17, 1944)
