Emily Lucille (Kehoe) Boyle was born on May 3rd 1906 in
Hazleton, PA. She was the 2nd child of 12 born to Thomas
Joseph Kehoe Sr and Annie Gertrude (Kilner) Kehoe. She grew
up at the Kehoe Residences 408 W Maple & 411 W Green St in
Hazleton. She would later live at 125 E Birch for the last
30yrs of her life. She attended St Gabriels Grade School
& was a 1924 graduate of St Gabriel's High School. She was
also a Graduate of the Wilfred Beauty Academy. Earlier she
had worked at a grocery store and later for some years at
Tung Sol Corp.Prior to retirement she had worked many years
for Sharp's Bakery in The Leader Store, Hazleton, until its
closing in the 70's. She was a lifetime member of St Gabr-
iel's R.C. Church and the parish Alter and Rosary Society.
She also was a very devouteful and humble person who gave
generously to many charities & organizations thruout her
lifetime. She married John Augustine Boyle of Jeansville,PA
in St Gabriel's Church on Aug 20th 1948.They had no child-
ren. She was especially known for her homemade Sponge Cakes
and raising of african violets. She also loved animals esp-
ecially cats which she gave good homes to many over the
years. She was survived by here 3 companions Smokie,Trina
and Jet. She was survived by sisters, many nieces and neph-
ews. She remained active until passing of heart failure on
Dec 26th 1992 at The Hershey Medical Center. She did have
a visit with her family prior to passing. Blessed are the
Pure in Heart for they shall see God. Surely goodness and
mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall
dwell in the House of the Lord Forever.
