Keeling Funeral Here Friday
Albert Milton Keeling, 90, passed away Monday and funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Friday, June 21. They will be conducted at the Lind Methodist church by Rev. W.H. Ritchey.
In ill health for many months Mr. Keeling was a patient at the Cliff Manor Home in Spokane at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his wife Mary Rebecca Keeling. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at their home in Lind last September 12.
Other survivors are a son, Leonard L. Keeling of Lind, and three daughters, Mrs. Clara Payne of Marysville, Mrs. Nona Carpenter of Spokane, and Mrs. Cora Hoelzel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Also two half brothers, Lee of Longview and Abner of Selma, California and 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren survive.
He was born in Tennessee on December 15, 1866 and later moved to Missouri where the couple met and married. They came west to Washington in 1901 and took up a homestead in the Hatton area.
In later years they lived at Bossburg, where he worked in the mines, then returned to Lind where they have resided for the past 41 years.
Pallbearers at the funeral rites will be Jack Wells, Jack Watkins, Al Weston, Alva Billington, W.O. Butler and Elver Huse.
Danekas and Duncan Funeral directors are in charge of arrangements and interment will be at the Lind cemetery.
