Obituary for Rosetta Etheredge from The Daily Idahonian, Moscow, Latah, ID newspaper, dated August 29, 1938:
Potlatch Matron Dies on Monday
Mrs. Rosetta Etheredge, 80, of the Potlatch district, died Monday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle David(sic), where she has lived since the death of her husband. The body was taken to Palouse. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Mrs. Etheredge is survived by two sons and two daughters, Harley E. Etheredge of Moscow, John in Canada, Mrs. David(sic) of Potlatch, and Mrs. Ed Gordon in California.
Note: Daughter, Etta May Dorgan, was still married to her husband, John Henry Dorgan, at the time of Rosetta's death. Accordingly, the "Mrs. Ed Gordon" mentioned in the obituary does not indicate another marriage for her, but is simply a mis-hearing of "Etta Dorgan". Additionally, the other daughter, Myrtle Davis, was erroneosly referred to as "Mrs. David".
