She was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Virden, the daughter of Littleton Porter Bradley and Maggie Keeler. She also was raised by her stepmother, Nannie Ellis Bradley. She married Robert L. Humphrey in 1941 in St. Charles, Mo.
Mrs. Humphrey graduated from Virden High School in 1938 and Brown's Business College. She was a secretary for Hodges & Tragethon Law Office in Springfield in the early 1940s and a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Virden; member and past president of Virden Women's Club, where she headed the Red Cross blood drive for many years; and the Centralia Cultural Society.
Survivors: husband, Robert; four sons, Glenn R. (wife, Angela) Humphrey of Coral Springs, Fla., James E. (wife, Ruth Ann) Humphrey of Metamora, Bruce (wife, Sandy) Humphrey of Centralia and Lee A. Humphrey of Flat Rock, N.C.; daughter, Nancy R. Humphrey of Arcadia, Fla.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Littleton Porter (wife, Vivian) Bradley Jr. of Mesa, Ariz.; a niece; and two nephews.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home, Virden. Burial: Virden Cemetery.
