Edith E Armstrong
Mrs. Edith E. Keefer Armstrong, 68, of 807 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, died Monday, Jan. 28, 1980, in Westmoreland Hospital. Born Sept. 10, 1911, in Irwin, she was the daughter of the late Shiley and Eva Goehring Keefer. She was a retired keypunch operator for the Pittsburgh National Bank and a member of the Full Bible Church of Trafford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Armstrong, on Aug. 11, 1955.
She is survived by four sons, Daniel C., of Irwin, Kenneth of Jeannette, Terry of North Huntingdon, and Bruce of Colorada Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Harold Keefer of Beloit, Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Ola Bredin of Dearborne, Mich., Mrs. Ethel Dietrich of Irwin, and Mrs. Gladys Lauffer of Webster, N.Y. Friends are being received at the Vincent V. Rodgers Funeral Home, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., beginning 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Russell G. Martin Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
