The Democratic Advocate, Friday, October 3, 1919, page 1: Mrs. Anna Rebecca Keefer, widow of the late Charles Keefer, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. U. K. Haines, near Dennings, Sunday, September 28, 1:45 o'clock a.m., aged 73 years, 4 months and 18 days. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. U. K. Haines, near Dennings; Mrs. Grace Ecker, Marston; Mrs. Gordon Wilson, Freedom; Harry Keefer, Sykesville; Howard, Oliver and Vance Keefer, of West Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bangs, New Windsor; Mrs. Wm. Miller, Sam's Creek; one brother, Charles Bart. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 30, at Baile's U.B. church, Sam's Creek, at 2 o'clock p.m., Elder Daniel Englar, officiating. The pallbearers were Preston J. Duvall, Edward Naile, Edward Byers, Chas. Bond, Chas, Barnes, and Thos. J. Hann. Interment in adjoining cemetery. C. M. Waltz, funeral director.
